The Foos Strike Again!

Last Saturday, May 17, Foo Fighters yet again held a surprise concert. Last Saturday's was held at New Orleans' Preservation Hall. Fans have to be always on red alert with this band. You never know when they'll be popping up and holding an impromptu show. Best to follow and regularly watch for their tweets.

Because apparently it all started with a tweet:

Being one of the biggest band in the world, they are capable of closing down a whole block! This is St. Peter Street, after word got out of Foo Fighters' surprise show.

The show began just after 9:00pm with a set from Preservation Hall Jazz Band themselves. Several VIP guests were in attendance, including Arcade Fire’s Win Butler and RĂ©gine Chassagne, who joined the Press Hall band for a performance of “Iko Iko”. Foo Fighters followed with a 90-minute set of their own, chock full of greatest hits like “Times Like These”, “My Hero”, “Learn to Fly”, and “These Days”. Later in their set, the Foos were joined by members of Preservation Hall and Trombone Shorty for a horns-heavy rendition of “This is a Call.” x
