Muslims Angered

Major Muslim Countries are rallying against US because of an anti-Islam film, "Innocence of Muslims," produced in the US which was directed by a Coptic Christian film maker. In the movie, Mohammed is depicted as a womanizer and a thug.

Many have been injured and also killed, including US Ambassador Chris Stevens. The producer of the film, Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, a 55-year-old Egyptian Copt, is now in hiding along with his family.

Actors in the movie insists that they were duped while making the film. They had no idea that it was an anti-Islam film. As far as they knew it was a story about a comet landing in the desert and the different tribes in the desert are fighting over to claim the comet, thinking that it had magical powers. After the film was shot, it was dubbed, and hence making it anti-Islam.

One of the actress in the movie wrote a letter to author Neil Gaiman and posted it in his blog.

Read it here.

Many are angry right now, many are hurt by this sad occurrence. Yes, someone should pay for all that this film has caused. But really they can't charge anyone with anything because the makers of the film are entitled to their freedom of expression. But I think it has reached its limit. Freedom comes with great responsibility. You don't practice freedom to hurt people. Why not make it as tool to unite people, instead?
