I love Wolverine and I think he's the most bad ass of all X-Men.. heck, of all the superheroes out there! Reading the news that he will be replacing Kitty Pryde in the much anticipated X-Men Days of Future Past... Really??
Here's what the scriptwriters had to say about this insanity:
“the protagonist of the franchise, and probably the most beloved character to a mass audience,obviously in the book it’s Kitty… But you’re talking about an actress who, in the age of Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy, would have been negative 20 years old. So we started thinking again, and the first reflex response to that was a character who doesn’t age. Wolverine is the only character who would look the same in 1973 as he does in the future.”
Are they telling us they can't work around that? They obviously took the easiest way out of it! I say Logan has had too much exposure already. We get it, he's saleable! But c'mon... the chance to make this story really into something awesome, no that Wolverine won't make it less awesome. We kinda need Kitty right now because let's face it, there are limited movies with a heroine in it. Only one girl in The Avengers hmp... but really... WHY WON'T YOU GIVE MY DAUGHTER SOMEONE TO LOOK UP TO?
