That's Not Free at All

Free lunch and snacks at work today. Before that there was sort of an awarding for people with impressive records against tardiness and absents. The "free food" are not actually free. Funds for the food were from money the company takes from paycheck when you get a suspension - which let me tell you is quite a hefty sum. Obviously, there have been a lot of contributors in this fund to accommodate more than a hundred people. I know the biggest contributor, and I myself have even contributed, and still have pending "contributions."

Yeah, free food, but why does it feel like some sick, sad, disgusting, bad joke to me?
